Sonakshi Sinha and Arjun Rampal’s psychological-thriller Nikita Roy will be released in theatres on May 30, the makers announced on Saturday. Directed by Sonakshi’s brother Kussh S Sinha and written by Pavan Kirpalani, the film also stars Paresh Rawal and Suhail Nayyar in pivotal roles.
Sonakshi shared a poster of the film which features all the actors donning an intense look. As per a press release, “The film is set against a haunting narrative, diving deep into themes of mysticism, psychological tension, and human vulnerability.”
Speaking about the film, producers Nickky and Viicky Bhagnani said, “This film is very close to our hearts. It dares to tread where most mainstream films don’t and explores a genre we truly believe audiences are ready for. With a powerful cast, a gripping narrative, and Kussh S Sinha’s unique vision, we can’t wait for the world to experience Nikita Roy on the big screen.”
The film is also co-produced by Anand Mehta, Prakash Nand Bijlani, Shakti Bhatnagar, Mehnaaz Shaikh, and Prem Raj Joshi.
It was announced in July, 2022 with a first look poster featuring Sonakshi and was expected to be released in 2023. The film’s shoot, which took place in London and other parts of the UK, was wrapped in September, 2022.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi was last seen in the horror-comedy Kakuda, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series Heeramandi, both of which released last year. She will be making her Telugu film debut with Jatadheera, headlined by Sudheer Babu.
